NOTICE
SEASONAL WEIGHT LIMITATIONS
Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes §349.16, seasonal weight limitations on select 
County Trunk Highways (CTH) in Burnett County will become effective at 
12:01 P.M. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. This is a critical period of time 
for County Highways, and we request support and cooperation during the 
temporary load limit. Adjustment to the proposed effective date may be 
considered contingent upon weather conditions.
As permitted by §349.16, Burnett County hereby limits each axle 
configuration to no more than four and one-half (4.5) tons during the seasonal 
weight limitation period on the following CTHs in Burnett County: 
CTH C, CTH D from Oak Street to CTH M, CTH E, CTH EE, CTH F, 
CTH FF, CTH H from CTH A to STH 77, CTH J, CTH M from STH 48 
to STH 70, CTH N, CTH O from STH 87 to STH 48, CTH T, CTH U, 
CTH W, CTH X, CTH Y, CTH Z.
Vehicles actively performing highway maintenance, school buses, and vehicles 
hauling bulk milk products are exempt from seasonal weight limitations on 
Burnett County Trunk Highways. See §349.16 for other special exemptions.
